Video presentation of a character

My Best Friend: A Special Connection In one of my previous assignments, I had the opportunity to talk about a close person in my life . Naturally, I chose to make a video about my best friend, Geronimo. This video was a great chance to practice my descriptive skills in English. I shared some of our best memories, explained why our friendship is so important to me, and described their personality. https://youtu.be/eGodSbHrlPk

Evidence Job interview

One of the most valuable activities we did was simulating a job interview . The main goal of this assignment was to practice expressing ourselves clearly and professionally in English, especially when talking about our skills and career goals . This task helped me immensely with my self-expression . I had to prepare answers to common questions like: “Tell me about yourself.” “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” “Why do you want this job?” Preparing for the interview forced me to reflect on my own qualities and articulate my professional background using the correct terminology. It was a great opportunity to improve my fluency when discussing my own experience and future plans. https://youtu.be/29HzoL6x0lM

Satoru Iwata: The Heart of Nintendo. Satoru Iwata, born on December 6, 1959, in Sapporo, Japan, discovered programming as a teenager, creating simple calculator games in high school. He studied computer science at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and, in 1980, joined HAL Laboratory as a programmer. There, he contributed to classic titles such as Balloon Fight, Kirby, and EarthBound. In 1993, he became HAL’s president, saving the company from financial trouble. Iwata joined Nintendo in 2000 as head of corporate planning and, in 2002, became the company’s fourth president—and the first not related to the founding Yamauchi family. His leadership transformed Nintendo through the “blue ocean strategy,” focusing on innovative gameplay instead of hardware power. This approach led to the massive success of the Nintendo DS and the Wii, both breaking sales records and attracting millions of new players. Even during difficult times, such as the Wii U’s poor sales, he showed humi...

Crime & Punishment

Title: Understanding Crime and Different Forms of Punishment Crime is a problem that affects every community, whether it is theft, vandalism, or more serious acts. When a person commits a crime, society expects justice to be served. However, there are different ideas about what “justice” really means. Some people think punishment should be strict to discourage others from committing crimes. Others believe that rehabilitation is more effective, because many offenders need support, education, or therapy to change their behavior. Typical punishments include fines, community service, probation, and prison. Each one has advantages and disadvantages. For example, prison can protect society, but it may not help the offender improve. Community service, on the other hand, allows the person to give something back and learn responsibility. In my opinion, the best justice system is one that balances punishment with rehabilitation. Understanding why a crime happened and helping people chan...

Critical Thinking & Media Literacy

Title: The Importance of Verifying Information Online In today’s world, we see information everywhere: social media, news websites, videos, and even comments from strangers. Because of this, critical thinking has become an essential skill. Before believing anything we read online, we should ask ourselves some questions: Who wrote this? Is it a reliable source? What evidence do they provide? Many people share posts without checking if the information is true, and this can cause confusion or even harm. Fake news spreads quickly because it often plays with our emotions, especially fear or anger. Media literacy helps us slow down and analyze what we consume. It teaches us to compare different sources, identify bias, and avoid manipulation. By verifying information and thinking critically, we protect ourselves and others. We become more responsible users of technology, and we contribute to a more informed society.
